Chloe (they/she) is a genderqueer Huntington Beach, California born actor, singer, hair stylist, reptile, and dog-lover. They have won awards from the Academy for the Performing Arts, based in her home city for Best Lead Actress, the Gold Award, and more. She was also nominated for the Orange County Artist of the Year award in 2019. 

 

For their role in Move Over Mrs. Markham at Huntington Beach High School, she was applauded for having “played the part brilliantly as the dry, hysterical Miss Smythe and becomes the key focus of the script” by Chris Daniels, an Arts Reviewer from National Youth Arts. 

 

Chloe’s dramatic training began at South Coast Repertory’s Youth Conservatory for 3 years, but then ventured toward musical theatre, dance, directing, and acting at the Academy for the Performing Arts for 4 years. At South Coast Repertory, she took various classes regarding tools of acting and acting basics, alongside musical theatre training with Erin McNally. 

 

They have performed in musicals, plays, and dance concerts in this program. She took courses in Strindberg’s acting, acting styles throughout history, and acted in a repertory class. They performed stories with this repertory at the Huntington Beach Central Library for young audiences for 2 years. Her dance experience includes 4 years of modern, jazz, classical ballet, and yoga. Before high school, she took 7 years of gymnastics. At this Academy, she assisted teaching classes for their Junior summer program, performed consistently, and directed and costumed for 2 student-written plays for the Annual Play Festivals. Additionally, they took a Summer Dance intensive, taking classes of dancing of various styles such as: hip hop, jazz funk, polynesian, classical ballet, modern, jazz, african, and pop. Through the Academy for the Arts, she took a stage combat course with the fight choreographers from the movie “Hook”. 

She has 6 years of vocal training under her belt from Aaron Al-Imam, Timothy Nelson, and Helena Brown. Chloe sings contemporary, choir, and popular musical theatre styles. She can play a bit of guitar, recorder, and ukulele. 

 

Chloe has a Seal of Biliteracy and loves to practice Spanish, specifically from the Guatemalan region. 

 

They now study theatre at Hollins University, having taken courses dealing with the Lucid Body, stagecrafts, directing, and script analysis so far. They are working for their Bachelors in Theatre and Environmental Studies from this university. They aim to integrate their prior training with the new training she will receive by completing her Bachelors. She performed in Goodnight Moon: The Magical Musical , with special performances dedicated to young audiences. 

Chloe also participated in the Art of Acting Studio's Summer Conservatory Program in 2021, where she honed her craft through their Technique, Scene study, Improv, Voice and Speech, Movement, Shakespeare, and On Camera classes. 

 

Chloe balances their artistic nature with her love for the environment in her daily activities. She enjoys yoga, hiking, practicing spanish, coloring, napping with their bearded dragon, and making cards for her friends and family.
